Simon Murray

Simon Murray, CBE, is a distinguished figure in the telecommunications sector. Ex Managing director of Hutchison Whampoa, initiating Hutchison’s acquisition of Hong Kong Electric and negotiating their entry into the oil business through their acquisition of Husky Oil. Whilst CEO of Hutchison, he founded a mobile phone company and after turning it into the global brand “Orange”, it was sold in 1999 for US$36 billion to Mannesmann.

Under his leadership, Orange expanded significantly, culminating in the sale of the company for $36 billion. He was founder of Distacom which made several mobile telecoms investments including Madacom in Madagascar, Spice Telecom in India and Sunday Communications in Hong Kong. He has also invested in other mobile operations in New Zealand, San Marino, Papua New Guinea and others.

Simon’s strategic vision and experience in global telecom markets have been instrumental in shaping the industry’s landscape.

Shasheill

With over a decade of experience in the telecommunications industry, Shasheill began his career in 2010, specializing in MVNO and MVNE platforms with a strong focus on marketing and customer acquisition strategies. He played a key role in launching Switzerland’s first Multi-IMSI MVNE platform, an innovative technology and commercial solution designed for global travelers and diaspora communities, ultimately reaching over one million customers worldwide.

Throughout his career, he has led business development initiatives across challenging regions, working closely with operators to deliver voice, messaging, and data services. His expertise extends to revenue assurance and fraud management, where he has helped operators secure new revenue streams and strengthen operational resilience.

Ralf Koehler

Ralf Koehler began his career in 1985 at Alcatel Frankfurt, where he worked on installing and programming some of the first ISDN PBX systems for large corporate clients. In 1992, he became one of the first employees of WorldCom in Germany, pioneering the country’s first alternative voice gateway.

With the deregulation of Europe’s telecom market in 1998, he joined Star Telecom as Managing Director for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, overseeing operations with annual revenues approaching 200 million DM. In 2000, Ralf led a management buyout with 60 team members to establish Germany’s first MPLS carrier, backed by the George Soros Finance Group.

In 2006, he took on the role of COO at Angel Telecom in Switzerland, supporting the company’s international gateway operations until 2014. Building on decades of leadership in telecommunications, he founded VAMP in 2015; a groundbreaking open-source-based Carrier Management Platform that continues to serve as a key innovation in the industry.

Nima

Nima earned his Ph.D. in IT Management from Zurich in 2010 and has since built a distinguished career at the intersection of technology, finance, and telecommunications. With deep expertise in business development, financial analysis, and the global banking and payments industry, he has consistently driven growth across complex and competitive markets.

Nima has held leadership positions including CEO and board member of a Full-MVNO, where he successfully steered strategy, operations, and expansion initiatives over a two-year tenure. His career also reflects a strong entrepreneurial spirit, he is the co-founder of several start-ups spanning telecom, fintech, paytech, and the stock market, giving him first-hand experience in scaling innovative business models from concept to execution.

Nima leverages his unique blend of technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and global perspective to identify new opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and lead expansion into emerging markets. His work continues to focus on bridging technology and business, helping organizations create sustainable revenue streams while navigating the evolving digital economy.
